REMEDIAL MASSAGE

Remedial Massage, also commonly known as Sports Remedial Massage, is a powerful form of manual soft tissue therapy, that effectively reduces your pain and restores function to your muscles, nerves, fascia and other connective tissues.  In addition to this, it also enhances other systems in your body, which may have been impaired due to injury, dysfunction or overuse.

Sports Remedial Massage is designed to help athletes before, during and after training. It is useful for anyone who exercises to increase flexibility, prevent injuries and help with healing after a sports injury.

Varying degrees of appropriate hands-on pressure will be applied during your remedial massage, to improve the integrity and function of both muscles and your body as a whole, so you can immediately begin to feel the positive, powerful changes that so many clients enjoy every day.

Remedial/Sport massage is recommended if you have no underlying functional issues such as neck, shoulder, elbow, knee or lower back pain.  This treatment is recommended if you just want to have a deep tissue massage.

Each session can be from 30 minutes to 1 hour or longer if required.  The recommendation is for the hour, this will allow for appropriate time and attention to the entire body soft tissue structure.  Shorter duration is recommended for section specific eg. upper body or lower body.  A 90 minutes session will be the maximum.  Any session longer than 90 minutes is not beneficial for both the client and the therapist.
